From Chapter One, ‘The Founder – Henry Price Hodges’
‘On April 10th 1912, the greatest ship in the world left its moorings in Southampton and headed for New York on its maiden voyage. I have made a few changes to the site in the last few days, the largest of which is to allow all the registered users to submit an article to the site, Please note that while you can submit an article it may take some time for it to appear on the site as someone else has to approve the article to be published. This is just so that I can get rid of anything that is obviously spam. If you are interested in how to submit some news then please read this article.
I have also created the Old Buckinghamians Facebook page if you want an easy way to advertise to old friends that the association is now more active than we may have been in the past.
I will soon be allowing users to upload to the photo gallery and we are also hoping to get pictures of members of the Old Buckinghamians while they were still young Buckinghamians.

Like the Editor, I too failed my 11 plus, or whatever it was called 60 years ago! I was accepted by Mr. Price Hodges as a pupil, and soon gained confidence in the smaller classes led by Mrs. Dorothy Pyle, Mr. Alan Green and Mr. Hodges himself. Maths turned out to be my best subject, with the expert guidance of Mrs. Pyle. I was in the Greek House, and rose to be Prefect, House Captain, and ultimately, Head Boy in 1947.
